Session & Logistics
How far in advance should I book?
I recommend reaching out as soon as you have a date or timeframe in mind. Popular dates, weekends, and peak seasons often book several months in advance.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions can take place outdoors, in your home, at a rented studio, or at a location we select together. If you're unsure where you'd like your session, I'm happy to recommend locations that align with your vision, style, and comfort level.
What if it rains on the day of my session?
For outdoor sessions, I'll monitor the forecast closely and make a decision with you 24–48 hours beforehand. If the weather isn't cooperating, we'll either move to an indoor location or reschedule at no additional cost.
What should I wear and bring to my session?
After booking, you'll receive a detailed preparation guide with wardrobe recommendations, styling tips, and suggestions for meaningful items you may want to incorporate. Whether it's a favorite outfit, heirloom piece, bouquet, or personal keepsake, we'll thoughtfully plan the details together.
Do I need modeling experience?
Not at all. My job is to guide you throughout the entire experience. The most beautiful images often come from genuine connection and natural moments, not perfect posing.
I'm nervous in front of the camera. Can you help?
Absolutely. Most of my clients are not professional models. I provide gentle direction throughout the session so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands, where to look, or how to pose. My goal is to help you feel relaxed and confident from beginning to end.
Can I bring a friend or family member for support?
Absolutely. Many clients choose to bring a trusted friend or family member to help them feel more comfortable and confident throughout the experience. Support people are also welcome to assist with outfit changes, hair adjustments, and keeping details looking their best while I focus on directing and creating beautiful images. I simply ask that they allow space for the creative process so we can make the most of our time together.
Pricing & Investment
What is the initial investment?
Each experience is thoughtfully curated and begins at a different investment level depending on the session type and coverage desired. Every collection includes personalized planning, professional editing, a private online gallery, and my full creative guidance from our first conversation through final delivery.
How do you handle travel?
Sessions within San Diego are included. For elopements and destination experiences, travel is customized based on location, accommodations, and timeline. I'll provide a personalized quote before booking so everything is transparent from the start.
How many images will I receive?
Every experience includes a minimum number of professionally edited images, with final gallery sizes often exceeding that amount. The exact number varies by collection and the unique flow of your session.
How do I reserve my session?
Once you're ready to book, a signed agreement and 50% non-refundable retainer will reserve your session date and time. The remaining balance is due 48 hours prior to your session. Clients who prefer to pay the remaining balance in cash are welcome to do so at the start of their session with advance notice.
Are there any additional fees I should be aware of?
Transparency is important to me. Any potential additional costs, such as location permit fees, studio rentals, travel outside my service area, or optional print products, will be clearly communicated before booking.
Can I Request Additional Images To Be Edited?
Absolutely. I carefully curate and edit the strongest images from each session. If you'd like additional photographs edited beyond those included in your collection, they can be added afterward for an additional fee.
When will I receive my full gallery?
You'll receive a preview within 48 hours of your session. Final galleries are delivered within 4–6 weeks, allowing me time to carefully curate and edit each image with intention and attention to detail.
What is the editing process like?
Every gallery is personally curated and edited by me. I select the strongest images from your session and refine them with my signature editing style, creating a collection that feels cohesive, timeless, and true to your story.
Are physical prints and albums available?
Absolutely. I offer professionally crafted fine art prints and heirloom albums designed to showcase your images beautifully for years to come. Details and pricing are available upon request.
